Deeper Intercession

We are not to be judges, but intercessors. Intercession is so much deeper than words. It is sacrifice so that others may live. Jesus made intercession for us at the throne by dying on a cross. We are called to sacrificial love that patiently gives witness to the spirit of the Living God. It is up to Abba to determine the time and place that the intercession is complete. It's His burden, we are just invited into it as partners in His work. As we keep loving Him, He will make all things new.

The process of loving intercession can be painful; after all, it looks like the Son of Man dying on a cross. But when our hearts break, God's heart takes over. We rest in fellowship with Him as we experience His emotions for one of His beloved children. We are free to grieve like the Father grieves over His sons and daughters, and allow His love to take over more completely within us. This is a deeper intercession.
