Jesus' Company

In Jesus' sacrificial death He made a covenant with me, the terms of which He keeps for the both of us. I am betrothed in loving-kindness, with incomparable tenderness. He has crowned me with His love. He takes care of me like no one else. All the complexity of my fears are lost in the purity of His commitment to me. It frees me to walk in innocence in the garden with Him. This is so foreign to my earth-weary heart, and it makes me never want to leave His company. To think of Him brings wonder to my heart, and light to my eyes.
