Greatest Joys
A wise woman recently encouraged me to take some time to ponder with God about the things that I most love to do & give me the most life.
When I think back over the last 5 years, I notice that some of the most beautiful memories are of times spent with friends and their children, especially the tiniest ones.
There is something that is so deep within me a nurturer. I love the simple joy of being present with, of growing with. I love the deep and tender affection of the Father that can be expressed so easily with a safe embrace or an extended hand.
In Mozambique the little ones would flock to visitors and gave us the gift of being invited in and chosen.
In the desert the children would remind us to play & shake off the dust.
I treasure the hours and hours spent at sisters’ homes chatting, sipping tea, encouraging tired mamas and holding sleepy babies.
