Run to Where He Is
I urge you, beloved, to run out to the broken and there find Jesus. Encounter Him where He is at work in the streets, towns, and villages, walk through your wounds from the past and out the other side. There gain the courage to literally count it all as loss compared to Him. Nothing will be able to overcome you or keep you from Him. You will become utterly lost and found in Him and it will set off a chain reaction around you, heaven coming to earth, light breaking forth like the dawn. You will not fear death, nor man, nor anything created, because He is the one object of your desire.
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice...
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.”
