If You Wish to Be Complete
“Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
I feel the weight of these words, the cost in my own flesh; it is the weight of glory. Leaving all the ones that I love to follow the One I love is the safest decision I can ever make. I drink fortitude from these words as I journey further out into the heart of God.
More than words, the Gospels are a path to be walked, a road that leads right into the Kingdom of God. So simple, yet like many simple things, the most difficult to walk out. But as we become like a child, He makes us like the last who will be first, the paradoxical mystery of the Kingdom a tangible reality.
