I Saw Jesus
I saw Jesus in the woman I met at Newark Penn station today.
Hidden in her tears was His healing oil, released as unhearing ears and muted mouth were wrapped in prayer. I am so grateful for the mystery, and always changed by a glimpse of His countenance. Who would not sell a whole field to buy the great treasure hidden just under the surface? We are His treasures and He dwells in us.
As we engage the least, we enter the Holy place. May I not miss an opportunity to pull Your head close to my chest in secure embrace, to look with love into Your eyes, or be near to You in Your suffering and Your vulnerability. Jesus, may we seek and find You in the face of another- hide not from us!
Every time I see You in disguise, I realize I have stumbled upon one of the great treasures of the Kingdom that is not of this world, and I fall down at Your feet in worship, washing Your feet with my tears.
You change everything.
