Desert Blaze

Why is it such a fight to hold onto the promise?

But oh, You know the way my heart burns for You in this desert place. You love to smell the fragrance of a heart totally abandoned to Your purposes even when there seems to be delay. It is this sweet, costly worship that overwhelms You. 

I cannot see or know truly how it affects You, but it is my part to trust, and keep burning for my one Love and King. To this desert blaze others will flock to see Your glory.

When I go out it will be with the passionate heart of the Burning One, desiring of the nations for Himself.
